Finally

San Antonio was a blast! The guys played 4 great games but unfortunately lost in the semi's. There was a ton of soccer, sun (I am so sun burnt) and of course margaritas on the River Walk. Alex and I had so much fun with Charlee and Mike. Great friends always = a great time :)

We got home yesterday and Alex had yet another outdoor soccer game for this actual team. Exhausted and ready to go to bed I checked Facebook randomly to see that President Obama was about to make a serious "unprecedented" statement on live TV. Intrigued and a little worried Alex and I decided to stay up and wait for him to come on TV. All we could think is "oh no we're going to war with someone else" but actually the news was good for once! US troops had raided a compound where Osama bin Laden was living. They had killed him and his son and retrieved the body for DNA testing. Alex and I were in shock. Even though 9/11 was almost 10 years ago, our troops were diligent and finally killed the man who killed thousands throughout his life. As I watched President Obama's speech and the people around the US chanting "USA! USA!" I was overwhelmed with goosebumps! I know there is never closure for the families who were affected by the terrorist attacks on 9/11 but I know everyone slept a little more soundly last night after hearing this piece of news!
